Our Style Philosophy — Sprinkling Kindness Project
Sprinkling Kindness Project - Sally Steele
Posted by Philosophy Australia on
I got to know Sally Steele virtually through Instagram first, before meeting in person, and was drawn to her elaborate, confident style and her mantra of Dare More, Care Less.
I’d describe her as a magpie. She wears the sparkly, printed, fun goodness in fashion and, with her signature pink hair, definitely stands out from the crowd. She has a cheerleader personality which resonates with me and a positive outlook.
Sally asked me to create a sparkly jacket for her as according to Sally #MetallicsAreANeutral and can be wor, anytime anyplace anywhere and add that special zing to any outfit.

THANK YOU! The support of my idea to stop, collaborate and listen - Vanilla Ice style - has just blown me away. I needed a creative, positive side project to keep me smiling during this trying year and working alongside some of my fave gal pals to create a few key wardrobe winners has been such a treat.
So far, we have launched the The Kirsten Tee, The Bev Blouse, The Suzie Kaftan - all to an amazing response. I’m now introducing a new year-round essential, The Brooke Stripe Tee.

Suzie has worn some Philosophy linen pieces over the last few years, and had an idea to turn one of our historical tunics into a dress. I was more than willing to run with that idea! The kaftan dress we have created lives up to its Stunning Suzie name, and will be a timeless resort piece.
With a $20 donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation for each dress purchased, this piece will ensure you feel as good about your purchase as you will look wearing it. Let’s sprinkle that style kindness!

Our first Sprinkling Kindness Project collaboration piece!

The COVID pandemic gave me the chance to stop, catch my breath and really evaluate my goals for Philosophy. I set my personal key word for 2020 as Kindness, and it’s something I’m trying to sprinkle everywhere I can, and I set my business key word as Enrichment. I created our Sprinkling Kindness Project, which combines both beautifully.
I’ve been chatting with a few stylish muses over Facetime, who have agreed to be interviewed about their opinions on style. I’ve found that listening and really paying attention has been inspiring, and it has given me a renewed sense of optimism.
